Product Description
The MONARCH 3 is now the single largest riflescope line in the Nikon family. With eight different magnifications and five different reticles available, there is a MONARCH 3 for every purpose. Nikon has placed smooth zoom control with magnification reference numbers viewable from the shooter's position and included a quick-focus eyepiece. Nikon's Ultra ClearCoat optical system is common in all MONARCH 3 riflescopes. It is engineered to provide the theoretical maximum light transmission a scope can deliver up to 95% for a clear and incredibly sharp sight picture between dawn and dusk. With spring-loaded instant zero-reset turrets, every MONARCH 3 offers an in-field advantage by allowing shooters to easily make adjustments on the fly. In addition to the enhanced ring spacing, the new MONARCH 3 is waterproof, fog proof and shockproof.Nikon MONARCH 3 BDC Riflescope, Black, 4-16x50 Review
First off, I did not purchase the Nikon Monarch 3 BDC 4-16x50 through Amazon or it's sellers. I purchased it locally. However, I did want to state that it is an awesome scope. Like most people, I wish it had a cheaper price tag, but typically for quality glass on a rifle you don't want to cheapen out.I mounted this scope on a Savage 111 FCNS (gotta love the AccuStock and AccuTrigger) chambered in .300win mag. After breaking in the rifle and zeroing it at 200 yards, this rifle/scope combo has been shooting sub MOA groups ever since. I can't say enough about how great the clarity of this scope is, even through fog and low light times. Unless Nikon makes a newer and better version of this scope by the time I decide to setup another rifle, I will purchase another one of these scopes anytime I need a new scope for a good rifle.
Oh yeah, only one real downside I saw. The factory included lens covers suck. Flip them up, fire three rounds of .300win mag and they fall off. So either dump them, or invest in a set of quality lens covers.
