Alienware AX51R2-5725BK Desktop (Black) Review

This is the first Alienware computer I have ever owned, and I really only bought this one because it didn't come with Windows 8. I guess this is a seperate review, but Windows 8 makes being efficient absolute impossible. If the software would work, I would prefer Windows 95 over Windows 8.

Anyways, this computer is great. The first thing I usually do when I get a new computer is delete the 500 pre-installed BS programs that come with it. This computer had only one! The computer I bought and returned was a Samsung with Windows 8, and it came with dozens. That is the worst thing about Samsung by far.

I have some audio-technica headphones that I bought based on the reviews on Amazon. They are great, and I previously used them with my HP computer with the Beats by Dre sound it has pre-installed. With the Alienware, the sounds absolutely blows the HP out of the water. I am hearing sounds in songs I didn't even know existed, and I believe that has to do with both the sound card in the Alienware and the headphones.

Overall, the computer has no weaknesses that I have found. I'm not a PC gamer, so I have no input on that. But for multi-tasking 15 different programs, it's great. It handles Photoshop batching 2,000 image files, while downloading large files and streaming video with no problems.

Assuming I can get Windows 7 or they replace Windows 8 completely, I can see buying an Alienware for the foreseeable future. I absolutely recommend for anyone that wants a great quality computer that you don't have to worry about having pre-installed programs shoved down your throat from the moment you power it up.
