I am using the amplifier to connect my digitized music through a Squeezebox to by Magneplanar 3.5/R speakers, and the amplifier performs well - it replaced a Proceed AMP2, and honestly I do not hear a difference. The amplifier delivers both clarity and ample power.
The reason that I only give it 4 stars is simple: the amplifier has two screws that allow you to control the input level on rear panel. The way it was shipped to me was the both screws in minimum postion, which meant that no sound was produced when everything was connected, which made for an anxious hour, until I figured out that I had to grab a screwdriver to adjust the input level.
So: great product, but the manufacturer should make sure that the product is not shipped to anyone else as it was shipped to me.
