I bought a refurbished computer in 2011 that crashed yesterday. After some deliberation I decided to just buy another desktop computer to replace it, but this time I wanted a new one with a Windows 7 operating system like I'm familiar with, not Windows 8. I did some online searching and stumbled upon this unit from another online seller. The unit seemed to meet my needs and the price was reasonable. Lenovo is a brand I'm familiar with since I have a Lenovo laptop and know it comes from the IBM family. That particular online seller would not price match so I decided to save some money and purchase it from a seller on Amazon. I wanted it quickly but didn't want to pay extra for expedited shipping, so I took my chances with their 3-6 business days regular shipping speed and completed the purchase. What a surprise when I came home from work THE NEXT DAY and found it already delivered on my doorstep! I ended up with overnight shipping from their Fresno warehouse at no extra charge. Who knew? Anyway I've plugged everything in, turned it on, everything seems to be working OK. The design is simple and functional, I like the built in handle on the top too. So far its super quiet and very fast. Didn't come with a bunch of unnecessary software. Only thing that came up right away was the 30 day trial of the Norton Antivirus. I'll sort thru the rest. I notice it doesn't have any memory card slots, but I have lots of cables handy if I ever have to transfer pictures or info, so I don't think that will be a problem. I've had my Lenovo laptop for a couple of years with no problems, so I'm hoping to get at least (hopefully more) that with this Lenovo desktop. Having my old computer backed up with Carbonite also helped me decide to just get a new one (didn't have that with my last crash.) Maybe I'll take the old unit into a shop eventually. (This one cost around $75 more than my old one did.) Anyway, so far so good. If anything changes, I'll be back!
