I have had a Samsung Officeserv 7100 system for about 5 years that I replaced with this system. The 2 systems are like night and day, the Samsung was a nightmare to program and had lots of little glitches, including no easy way to backup and restore in case of even a couple of seconds of power outage (I have a UPS but there are times it has to be unplugged to be moved, extended power outage etc.) The Samsung was basically not end user programmable without going to school for several weeks or months to learn how to, it was definitely not user friendly.This system is very easy to program and works very well for my situation. I have 4 analog phone lines that I use like a call center. When a caller calls in they are put into a repeating cycle of "Thank you for calling..." and "Sorry for your wait please continue to hold..." until the call is picked up, they press 1 to leave a message or they hang up. This system handles it like a pro.
Noise was another issue with the Samsung, it was MUCH louder than the loudest computer I have ever heard, this unit makes no noise at all except when ringing an external extension you can hear a little clicking type sound.
I have only had the unit for 3 weeks now so I will try to remember to update this in a year or two, but so far it is great and well worth the price, which BTW was much cheaper than the Samsung also.

... UPDATE: It has been 1 month and 18 days since I wrote the initial review where I rated this 5 stars... I now change it to 2 stars. Reasons are below.
1. Three times in the last few weeks one or both of the phones I use on this system have somehow disconnected from the main unit, or actually I'm just guessing, not really sure what is causing it but randomly the phone just quit working. The first few times unplugging the phones themselves fixed the issue, this last time one of the phones all lights were blinking on it and unplugging it did not change anything, the second phone also would not take or place calls, but the lights were not blinking on it. I had to unplug the main unit to get it working again.
2. I have noticed every since I've been using the system that often it will click as if a call is coming in, then click again without the phones ever ringing as if the caller hung up after 1 ring, at first I didn't think anything of it but it seems to be happening more and more. I'm sure there can't be that many callers hanging up before the system even starts to ring, and now with the other issues I'm beginning to wonder if this is actually a problem with the system also. My old system rang immediately when the calls came in, unlike this one that the phones do not ring until the 2nd or 3rd incoming ring and I never had hangups like this before and I would have noticed on my old system since I would have heard a ring not just the clicks.
This is very early to be having problems with a brand new phone system, I'm beginning to think it was a mistake to go with a cheaper system like this.
I am going to try to contact Fortinet support and see what they say but I have a feeling I will not trust this system to run my business and end up going with something else... oh well back to searching for phone systems.

... UPDATE 2:
Was told by TCE(the seller) support that I needed to update the firmware on my system and after a few incorrect instructions they sent they finally sent me the firmware for me to install. This new firmware was out before I purchased this system so why they didn't have me do this right after I bought it and why they sent me older firmware to install to begin with I have no idea.
Since the new firmware everything seems to be working fine, of course its only been 2 days so we will see. For now I am going to go up to 4 stars for it being a so far excellent system after some initial issues.
