Lenovo M72e 0967B4U Desktop Review

We have rolled out quite a few of these to be used as medical devices for our healthcare clients (these and the models with the Core i5 CPU). There's really nothing not to like about them other than a strange issue that's been consistent with Windows Updates. When attempting to install more than ~15 at a time, the system will claim to have successfully installed the updates, but upon reboot, it will say that the update process failed and the system is reverting back to a previous state.

At first I believed this to be with an installation of Windows 7 Pro with the free "upgrade" to Windows 8 Pro, but I've purchased other systems with the same installation and it does not behave this way with Windows Updates. There is no rhyme or reason, but the M72e series just is goofy with installing more than about 15 updates at a time.

Other than that, the hardware is solid and the componentry isn't cheap. The box has a solid feel to it, which is unusual these days, and we've yet to have a real problem with one.
