I chose the Workfit-A because I didn't want to have my entire desk raise up and down (I've got so much stuff on my desk). After doing some research, the Ergotron products seemed to be exactly what I wanted, and is the most convenient among similar products.

The installation took a while and the instruction manual was sometimes confusing, which slowed down the process. Some steps really strained my physically, having to remain leaned over the desk and putting a lot of stress on my lower back, and lifting a 30-inch monitor up to have it secure it was very challenging too. It'll go smoother if you have someone around that can help you during those steps.

The unit I got had a problem with the support arm--it had a crooked hole for one of the screws, which caused the screw to get stuck half-way and cannot be screwed all the way in. I contacted Ergotron and they send me a whole new unit (I guess that was easier than taking out a support arm and sending it by itself). The replacement worked and everything was fine.

In terms of actual usage, it's been very good. It tends to wobble a bit when in the up position, and I have to put a box under the keyboard tray to get it fully anchored against the top of the desk. With the box as support, it's a lot more sturdy and usable. Without that little workaround, it would have been too wobbly and I'd have returned the product. Luckily, a flat 14.5-inch tall empty box isn't a hassle, and when in the sitting position, I simply remove the box and put it next to my chair.

The arm moves up and down very smoothly and it's quite sturdy. As long as you adjust the tension for the arm and the monitor properly, you can move them up and down smoothly without any problems and they will stay secure.

The extra work tray is very useful, since I have a second keyboard that I use for macro commands, and I also put the center channel of my surround speakers on it.

I'm pretty happy with this purchase, and I'm also happy with how easy it was to find a solution to the wobbling. If the it didn't wobble, I would've given it 5 stars.
