The first projector that was delivered was found defective right out of the box. I plugged it in and hit the power button to hear an irritating grinding noise, I shut it off immediately and when I powered it on for the second time the noise was gone but so was the light. I called tech support at BenQ and they were very easy to work with, I went through a few steps and they told me it was defective, they were professional and knew what to try right away from what I described. Amazon did the exchange that I expected and the second one that I received worked great.

The product itself:
This is a nice bright projector and will work in situations where there is moderate ambient light, I did run a dvd and PS3 game system to it to test what it can take and it is able to handle what I threw at it without any problems. This model produces a nice image at 80" diagonal from 3 feet away from the screen. Has digital zoom and keystone correction which I didn't need yet. Overall the product is great but the fact that the first one was defective takes away a star. If you are looking for a projector that is affordable and has a nice quality picture that can handle some light this is a good choice, it is also small enough to be portable at 6 lbs.
