First of all, I didn't actually buy this from Amazon, I bought it from Computer Upgrade King's website since it was a bit cheaper. I paid $1484.71. I chose the exact same specs as this one though.

PROS:

>Computer Upgrade King did a great job of upgrading the hardware. You could hardly tell they'd ever opened the box.

>Keyboard backlighting is useful

>Screen is great

>Looks good and feels solid

>Good heat management (the parts your hands touch never get hot)

CONS:

>Trackpad is horrendous. It's very glitchy when you try to click while having another finger moving the cursor. Also, unless you keep your fingers extremely well moisturized, they skip along the trackpad (similar to trying to push your finger along dry glass).

>Keyboard is cramped. It's hard to slide your hand over to the arrow keys without looking down since the whole keyboard feels the same. Also, the numpad keys are pretty small. It would have been nice if they could have used more of the width of the laptop to spread out the keyboard a bit.

>Windows 8. I actually deleted Windows 8 and installed the latest Ubuntu (13.10). I tried Windows 8 for a few days, but it wasn't to my liking. If it had come with Windows 7, I would have dual booted it with Linux (like my other laptop).
