I'll try to keep this short and to the point

the durability/looks
the speakers came in a very thick box with fitted foam, the aluminum grilles are pre-installed and the brackets come with optional lock nuts (fitted between bracket and thumbscrew) for added theft deterrent.
the case is a hard UV resistant ABS polycarbonate, the rear holds only a pair of typical 12 gauge gold plated binding posts.

the sound
these have a 6.5" woofer and a large 90/90 tractix horn. these are leaps and bounds better than most outdoor speakers, are a fair bit better than any other Klipsch outdoor speakers and are on par with the definitive 6500s. these have a little better low range and have a better presence at low volumes than the Definitives, although these have a worse mid range than those speakers. the difference is not pronounced, they're both great.
