NEC's VE281 and VE281X mobile projectors are designed to provide high brightness for small-to-medium-sized businesses, education environments, corporate conference rooms and mobility applications where heavy ambient light is present but the space requires a small projector. These lightweight models are affordable with essential features, including 3D Ready technology, high-contrast images and a powerful 7W speaker. Their automated technologies--from Auto Power On and quick startup/shutdown to a lamp life up to 6000 hours. The VE281 and VE281X offer the Intelligent Driving Scheme (IDS2) for increased lamp life and contrast.

Versatile HDMI Connectivity with Plug and Play Setup

Plug and Play setup and operation optimizes images displayed from computers and video sources. Native SVGA and XGA resolution projectors automatically sync with higher-resolution computers. A flexible input panel, color-coded and clearly labeled, connects to computers, Blu-Ray players and other sources using the VGA, HDMI, and composite inputs.

IDS2 and ECO Mode for Longer Lamp Life

Intelligent Driving Scheme (IDS2) technology has been adopted to extend the lamp life of the projector up to 6000 hours in ECO Mode and 4000 hours normal. ECO Mode technology extends lamp life, lowers audible noise and reduces total cost of ownership. A carbon savings meter calculates the positive effects of operating the projector in ECO Mode, which is encouraged by an optional message at startup. A green ECO Mode button on the remote control makes the switch easy.

Automatic Power Management

Power management enables projector to automatically turn off when an incoming signal is not detected from any of the inputs. Auto Power On via the RGB (15-pin) input connector activates when a signal is detected from a computer.
