I bought a house with an existing MCA-C5 6 room system where the previous owner insisted in taking the amp. So a few mouse clicks later and there's a big dent in the credit card but I have a replacement up and running. The basic room config via the downloaded PC software is pretty easy. Control of other equipment via IR a bit more complex.

Sound seems pretty nice and the room controllers are well thought out and do their job well. The amp itself is heavily built with a big toroidal transformer inside.

My issue with this is that it is a pretty expensive solution to a relatively simple problem and in the age of there's an app for that then I suspect a new install could have better features for less money. However this is a niche market aimed at people with deeper pockets so maybe I'm wrong there.
