I've had this card for a few weeks now eagerly waiting and testing it before I made a review, What I wanted to assess was the cards driver stability and overclockability. The 7970 has been out for years now so you probably don't need a review about it's performance. You should know it's superb. Initially I had driver issues that would artifact Crysis 3 in the opening sequence so I removed the driver and installed a more recent beta but the problem continued. I filed a return for Amazon and was getting ready to return it but I figured I'd do a fresh install with earlier drivers which resolved the issue. Not to big of a deal when everything of importance is on a storage drive but I could imagine this being a bigger inconvenience for others without that luxury. This particular card overclocks okay at a stable 1160 core and 1550 memory without even touching the voltage (which is unlocked on the HIS R9 280X) I'm sure it could rock close to 1300 on watercooling and there is a bit more headroom in the memory I haven't touched. This particular cards memory is Hynix which from what I understand is better for overclocking. The fans noise level are acceptable up to around %60 IMO. HIS cards run fairly cool and this one follows that trend. It's a good card for $310 MSRP but these amazon sellers need to lower their pricing. The card comes packaged with a DVI-I to VGA adapter, a crossfire bridge, driver disc (don't use), manual and case sticker. The card takes 2 8 Pin connectors so be sure your power supply has enough amps on your 12V and if you have to use a 6pin to 2x8pin pcie splitter Amazon has one from APEVIA that I've tested with my Seasonic 620 watt and recommend. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BBIQTBO/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
