HP LaserJet P4015N Monochrome Laser Printer Review

I reviewed the related product, the HP P4014n LaserJet Printer. See my customer review there, which is a very similar product, where I posted a very favorable review.

The only real differences between the two printers are the front panel and a small difference in print speed. The 4015n has a front panel that can be used to enter a passcode to print out jobs that the user doesn't want anyone else to see or pick up accidentally. The 4015n is also slightly faster, at 52 ppm compared to the 4014n ant 45 ppm. In a big office where people are picking up the wrong printouts I could see the need, but I didn't see a reason in my small office to pay the $200 premium for 4015n. I have been very happy with the 4014n.

7" TFT LCD Color Rear View Camera System with Side Cameras Review

My RV has a black and white Sony that is good for parking the rig but that was about all. I wanted side cameras that would provide a broader view of what was going on next to the RV.

The 7" monitor is clear and easy to see with good picture quality. The controls are intuitive and it only takes a couple of minutes to figure everything out.

The side cameras were marked left and right on the cable and were easy to install. Drilling a 3/4 inch whole was easy and the grommet fit snugly. Each of the three cameras come with a sixty foot extension cable so there was lots of slack to deal with on the side cameras. My RV is 40 feet long and there was plenty of cable to go front to back.

The cameras are rugged and easily adjusted and it only took a couple of trips up the ladder to get the rear set where I wanted it.

The way the system is meant to be installed requires connection to trigger circuits that activate the monitor and appropriate camera. That would be left and right turn and backup light circuits.
You can force the system on by pressing the power button and then selecting the camera you want to be active. With the trigger system the display and cameras are only on when you are turning or backing up.

I installed a switch between the rear camera trigger and the multiplexer so that I have the option of automatic mode (triggers activate the cameras) or always on mode. The always on mode is great for backing into tight places where you would like to have more visibility on the side and turn signal operation is difficult. You could do it with the turn signals but the switch makes it very easy. A push of a button allows you to toggle between the tree cameras.

The cameras work quite well at night.

I mounted the multiplexer in my power bay that is on the drivers side accessible from the outside. The wires were sufficient to make connection to power, ground, and the triggers. I mounted the switch on the drivers side window console with all the other switches and marked it "Camera" with an "Auto" and "All on" position. I needed about 3 feet of wire to go from the switch to the mux wire harness. I mounted the display on left side of the dash and the cable was long enough to go to the mux in the power bay. It is probably about 8 feet long. I didn't measure it, and this is an estimate.

The instructions are lacking and if you really need someone to tell you exactly what to do every step of the way you will be disappointed. They are adequate in that they provide sufficient detail to let you get the system up and running. I think there are many places where this system can be used and might be part of the reason for some lack of detail. Everything is labeled and I had no trouble knowing what I needed to do.

The most difficult part of the operation was fishing the wire from the front of the RV to the rear, but it is very doable and all wires are tucked out of sight.

There is a video our connection and you could send the video to a recorder if you have a situation where recording is necessary. There are plenty of other places a system like this would be useful and the triggers could be supplied by switches on doors, for example.

Considering the price, quality of materials, and function I will give it 5 stars and highly recommend it to anyone needing rear and side cameras on their RV. Glad I bought it.

This computer was purchased about a week and a half ago from newegg.com. It is so much faster then my old HP Pavilion (purchased in 2009) and runs windows 8 smoothly. This computer was purchased for normal use and some light gaming (The Sims 3). It is a perfect fit for me. An added bonus was that it didn't come with pre-installed nonsense like most computers do, so I didn't have to spend forever uninstalling all the bloatware. I play The Sims 3 with the effects on high and I am so shocked at the difference, it plays it effortlessly. I understand that this computer isn't going to be for a huge gamer and I don't really think it was intended to be with it's current hardware. However, there is so much space on the inside you can upgrade. As far as windows 8 goes, I love it. The transition from windows 7 to windows 8 was a little tricky at first but after a week or so you get the hang of it. And for the price, it can't be beat! I recommend this computer to anyone looking for their first gaming machine, or anyone just looking for a good computer all around ^^

I just purchased this video camera on Monday evening, Feb. 6, 2012 from Beach Camera and received it today. I have only been able to work/play with the camera for a few hours, but these are my experiences so far.
1. This was my first experience ordering from Beach Camera, through Amazon. Was a little concerned at first when product didn't ship for a couple of days, but when they did ship, it must have been shipped two day priority, because it arrived halfway across the country by Saturday. Package arrived in perfect shape and sealed in factory condition. So far, impressed by Beach Camera and their service.
2. Camera is physically much smaller than I expected. It feels about the same size of a can of soda laying on it's side. Very nice! My last video camera was a Panasonic mini dv. That camera was a decent size, but this Sony is even more compact and fits very nice in my hand. The controls, zoom, photo button and record button all line up nicely and are easy to use. The camera feels solidly built, just as most sony products.
3. One item that I was concerned about was whether there was an available SD or memory card slot to add memory. The Sony website doesn't really make it clear whether there is that feature, or if it's just the internal memory. Well I can positively confirm that there IS a SD memory card slot on the bottom side of the camera. A little door flaps open and you insert the card. It probably accepts a memory stick too, but I only tried a SDHC extreme memory card 16gb card. Worked perfectly!
4. Now, for the feature that was the biggest hit with my family.... the built in projector! This is truly amazing technology. I projected a few of the short movie clips I just took, onto a large empty wall, and we were all totally amazed at the quality and sound. I backed up about 15 feet from the wall and projected an approximate image of 8 feet across. I am impressed at the image it can project at such a distance. Our wall is painted a medium brown color and it still looked good. Of course it would look even better if the wall was white or was actually projected onto a movie screen. Sound is pretty much what you'd expect from a pair of small speakers, sort of tinny, but it was pretty loud and definitely good enough to sit around and listen to our home movies. Good job Sony!
5. As for the quality of the video, this is what I've experienced so far. I played around briefly with the top two quality settings, 60i and 60p. I hooked the camera directly to my HD tv via the HDMI cable that came with the camera. The 60p looked slightly better, but both videos looked great. The video I took was at night, with only interior lighting on and it still looked great. I can't wait to see what daytime video looks like. It was super easy to view the video on the tv. As soon as I plugged the camera into the tv, the tv recognized the device and displayed exactly what was on the LCD screen. The only annoying thing was the sound coming out of the video camera and the tv at the same time, gave it an echo sound. I'm sure there is a way to turn down the sound on the video camera when plugged into the tv, just haven't figured it out yet.
6. Another feature I love is the crispness of the LCD screen. The high resolution of the screen makes the image so clear and easy to view. Love it! The only minor complaint I would have of the screen is the touchscreen feature. So far it seems like I have to press on the screen twice in the same spot to activate what ever button I was trying to push. Maybe it's just me being to careful and not wanting to press to hard on the screen or the screen isn't as responsive as it needs to be. Either way, I'm sure after a little more use, I'll get use to it and it won't be a big deal.
7. As for software, there is no cd/dvd's that come with the camera. There is a "lite" version of Home Memories software that comes preloaded on the internal memory of the camera. When you first plug the camera into your computer, you upload the software and install it. The software then offers to download additional features from it's servers. I downloaded and installed the additional features and it worked perfect. I have a computer with windows 7 that is about 4 years old. The software looks pretty basic, but it does do a nice job of importing and organizing your old photos and then imports your new video and pictures from the camera. I haven't worked with it enough to know how easy or hard it is to edit video or burn discs. I was able to import the new video clips I recorded tonight and was able to play all of the clips, including the highest quality video on my computer no problem. I played the video in both windows media player and in the Home Memories software and both looked really good!

Overall my initial impressions are very good. The still picture quality appears to be average to good for a video camera. Definitely not as good as a stand alone digital camera, but truthfully I haven't taken very many pictures, so maybe it will be better than I think. I plan on buying an extra high capacity battery, since I have never had good luck with batteries lasting very long, plus it's always good to have a backup.
One feature I haven't been able to figure out yet is what happens when you're recording video and either your internal memory or memory card gets full, does it switch over to the other memory seamlessly? Or does the recording stop and you have to switch to the other memory. When i determine the answer to that question, I'll post an update.
In summary, this appears to be a high quality camera that seems appropriately priced for the features it has. I definitely recommend it. My kids can't wait to make home movies with their friends and have a movie/popcorn night and watch their creations projected larger than life up on the wall!

This is our 3rd version of this same unit (1st one sold w. house...second burned out after 11 years of continuous use! This newest of this Sharp line is very good looking, beautiful Stainless throughout & larger (inside) then previous units...it has really simplified convection & mix cooking with help of it's internal computer. This is great for all of your cooking, especially cooking for 2, we never use the regular oven except for a large turkey (this unit will hold a 10# bird.) There was a problem with one of the large bolts that holds it on the back plate..did not line up correctly...that was a pain. Also shipping by UPS or FED EX ends up with a mutilated box & I'm sure damaged units (we lucked out no damage to unit- the unit is quite heavy 84# so I'm sure the carrier just "heaves" it - so if your box is badly damaged don't even open it - send it back for a new one) they should really be shipped using another source.
