Denons DBT-1713UD Blu-ray loads faster than their previous model. I had the DBT-1611UD and it was slow to go from placing the disc on the tray to actually playing the movie. Don't get me wrong, it was a great player. But it's not the DBT-1713UD. The DBT-1713UD has clean video and the audio is superb. The streaming of Netflix and Vudu is quick and painless. I'm not a big Hulu fan but it will stream it plus YouTube. If you like 3D, place Avatar Blu-ray in the player and you will be amazed at the clarity of the picture. If you have invested in a nice surround sound system you will reap the rewards. Is the cost of the player pricey, yes. But, if you want a audio visual experience that will leave you grinning from ear to ear, then this player is for you. The DBT-1713 doesn't have wireless capability to connect to the internet. So your going to have to hard wire it using an Ethernet cable. That's not a deal breaker for me. This player is not a miracle worker. If you are connecting this player to a lesser quality receiver and TV, well your wasting you money. Keep that in mind before you purchase this player. Am I happy with this player, you bet. Denon has done it again and kicked up their game. Thank you Denon!!!
