Elite Screens VMAX120XWH Electric projection Screen (120-Inch 16:9 AR)(Max White) Review

I bought this screen along with the Optoma HD20 High Definition 1080p DLP Home Theater Projector (Grey) for my home theater and it shows a fabulous picture.

Out of the box it was well assembled and the only thing required of me were my own mounting screws. I was pleased to see an RF and IR remote included for operating the screen as well as the optional wall mount switch with an optional 12V toggle.

Installation was simple, my friend and I mounted it to wall studs and finished in about 30 minutes. Like I said, all you need to buy are your choice of mounting screws as the case ships fully assembled and ready to mount. It takes about 40 seconds for the screen to completely lower or raise up. This is by design since this isn't a tensioned screen. If the motor were too fast, the screen might get folded up during rolling and cause a nasty crease or wrinkle like a window shade that went up too fast. The slow retraction makes sure this doesn't happen. This doesn't bother me anyway because it takes me longer than that to warm up the projector and find a Blu-Ray to watch. The electric motor is very quiet too as a bonus.

The quality of the screen material was astounding. I had heard some users having wrinkled screens but my screen turned out nice and smooth. Colors and blacks turn out nicely on it when watching movies. Let me tell you also, 150 inches of real-estate looks flat-out beautiful. Words cannot describe it.

I have to give this a 5-star rating because it exceeded what my original expectations were and has really enhanced my home theater experience for a really good price. Good luck.

Product Description

The Zebra GK420t monochrome desktop direct thermal/thermal transfer label printer comes equipped with an Ethernet port, prints 5" per second at 203 dpi in a single color, and can be used to print labels, tags, receipts, or other media up to 4.09" wide. This middle level desktop printer can serve as a direct thermal printer, which heats thermal paper to produce the print, or as a thermal transfer printer, which heats a ribbon to produce the print on the paper. Direct thermal/thermal transfer printers use heat instead of ink and are typically smaller, quieter, faster, and more energy-efficient than dot-matrix printers. The GK420t has a maximum print speed of 5" per second at 203 dpi (dots per inch) and prints labels up to 39" long. The 32-bit processor combined with 8 MB of SDRAM memory and 4 MB of flash memory offers faster first label printing with extensive media graphics. The Ethernet port enables the printer to be connected to a wired computer network (Ethernet cord sold separately). A USB port and an included USB cable provide connectivity to a computer or another device. EPL and ZPL programming languages are standard.

The GK420t printer's double-walled casing is made of ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), which helps resist impact. An open-access design facilitates media loading. The printer automatically detects installed media and calibrates to the media type and length for accurate printing. A reflective sensor allows the printer to identify the gaps, holes, notches, or black marks between labels to print the labels accurately. A transmissive sensor enables it to detect when a roll of media has run out. An odometer can be used to track the print length. The auto-detectable power adapter can accept AC power between 100 and 240 volts. This product is suitable for use with black bar, black mark, continuous, continuous receipt, die-cut, fanfold, gap, notched, perforated, receipt, roll-fed, tag, or tag stock media (all sold separately). The maximum outside diameter for rolls is 5".

Zebra GK420t Monochrome Desktop Direct Thermal/Thermal Transfer Label Printer with Fast Ethernet Technology, 5 in/s Print Speed, 203 dpi Print Resolution, 4.09" Print Width, 100/240V AC Review

I have several of these now. We use them to print product labels and serial numbers for our products. Will buy more as I need them. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the resolution is only 200dpi.

Clarion NX602 In-Dash Vehicle DVD Player Review

The NX602 is a pretty darn good system I only have a few gripes. The touch screen is very responsive; you can drag things around like you do on a smart phone. Bluetooth audio streaming works great, but with my Evo I don't get the track information like you do with an Ipod. The Bluetooth telephone option works really well; whenever I'm having a conversation I have to constantly remind people that they're on speaker phone. That's how great the internal mic works on this thing. Also, you can upload all of your phone contacts including missed/dialed/received calls. The navigation system is pretty amazing. The recalculation of routes happens almost instantaneously a little too quickly for my taste though. There is a day and night view, which changes automatically, since the system knows when the sun is due to set and rise. You can choose from a multitude of route guidance voices some with British accents, over 20 different types of vehicles and so on. Customizing this system to your liking won't be a problem. Another thing I like - if you are watching a DVD (illegal but you know how that goes) the navigation system well briefly interrupt your movie to show the next set of turns and then it will go back to the movie without you having to manually do anything. Griping time: the screen can really get washed out from the sun. Another minor annoyance for some reason this system well forget your music settings for some weird reason, so I always find myself double checking my settings every time I start my car. Also, I cannot figure out how and the hell to update the navigation system. I'm pretty tech savvy and I'm sure I will figure it out sooner or later, but I have feeling you need a masters degree in computer science to get it working right. Overall, I would take the NX602 over any system in the market right now.

I was really skeptical of buying the bundle due to some other reviews, however, this bundle was amazing! For example, I thought it would contain a knock-off Sony 32GB Memory card, but it's the real deal. I have little use for the other little gadgets but it was well worth the money.
